Las Palmas hung on for an exciting 3-3 draw against 10-man  Madrid that kept Barcelona at the top of La Liga after the Catalans’ 6-1 thrashing of Sporting Gijon  on Wednesday.

Luis Enrique’s side ran two points clear with their win at Camp Nou, putting weight on Los Blancos to win so as to recover their lead at the top of the table.

Furthermore, Isco hoped to have set them on their way following eight minutes when he gathered a through ball and placidly opened his shot past Javi Varas.

With Real reeling, La Liga’s thirteenth put side secured a third just before the hour check — Kevin-Ruler Boateng outracing Marcelo to a long ball behind the Genuine protection before touching past a stranded Navas side-balance into a void net.

Real’s hopes of an outcome were floated in the 87th minute when Ronaldo converted from the spot, and they earned the point three minutes after the fact, when, from a corner, Ronaldo gave a header from close range to beat the keeper

The outcome leaves Real madrid on 56 points from 24 matches, a point behind Barcelona who have played an outstanding.
