Former Ekiti Deputy Governor, Biodun Olujimi, has stated that Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, poses no threat to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television programme on Thursday, Olujimi argued that Obi’s performance in the last election was largely driven by his eloquence, which she believes may not have the same effect in the upcoming polls.
“The tactics that worked for him in 2023 won’t be effective next time unless he presents something entirely new,” she said. “President Tinubu is a seasoned politician who understands the political landscape thoroughly.”
Olujimi, who also once served as Senate Minority Leader, emphasized that Tinubu’s vast political experience would make him a formidable candidate in the 2027 general elections.
