Election 2019: Governor Ganduje promises President Buhari five million votes

The Governor of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State has promised to deliver a total of five million votes to president Mohammed Buhari come 2019.




Ganduje made this statement after the election of Sanusi Abbas as the new All Progress Congress (APC) party chairman in Kano State on Sunday 20, 2018

He called the attention of everyone back to 2015 when the state delivered the highest vote of 1.3million to President Buhari and he laid emphasis on the reoccurence of same landmark in 2019.



He also made it known that the popularity and followership of the Party is still strong and intact devoid of imposition or any form of cheat from any sector.

Alhaji Abbas, a cousin to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi, and one – time Care taker Chairman of the party, polled 3080 votes of 3472 votes cast by delegates of the APC at the state congress which took place at the Sani Abacha stadium.



He was declared the winner by the Chairman, Kano State Congress Committee, Prince Austin Emeka, alongside Alhaji Shehu Zagari, the Vice Chairman, Ibrahim Samina, the Secretary, Nabiba Garba Danbaba the Woman Leader, Mutari Sani, the new Financial Secretary.

In his remarks, Alhaji Abbas held that his victory was a reflection of the vote of confidence on his previous performance as the Acting Chairman of the party and pledged to work harder to move the party
