Fayose’s Deputy Olushola, Wins Ekiti PDP Governorship Primary Election

The Deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Kolapo Olushola yesterday emerge party’s choosen candidate for the People Democratic Party for the Ekiti State gubernatorial run scheduled for July 14th, 2018



Olushola defeated Dayo Adeyeye Former Minister of Works at the Ekiti primaries 
Over 2100 delegates participated in the voting exercise across the 26 local government areas of Ekiti on Tuesday May 8




The delegates were made up of 1,585 statutory members of the party, and 547 National Ad-Hoc Committee Members. Prior to the election, Governor Fayose had stated alleged plans by some hoodlums to disrupt the exercise.

It is recalled that the APC primaries ended in Jamboree due to the attack by Hoodlums, who break ballots boxes and wounded casualties.
He, therefore, challenged security agents to do everything necessary to forestall a recurrence of such at his party’s congress.
