Ballon d’Or 2025: Ceremony returns to Paris on September 22 with new awards for women
The Ballon d’Or returns on September 22 with a revamped lineup of trophies, organisers announced Monday. For the first time, the number of women’s awards will match the men’s — six each — thanks to the addition of new prizes for best women’s goalkeeper, top scorer, and best young player.
The Socrates Award, celebrating humanitarian efforts, will also be presented. Nominees across all categories are set to be announced in August.
