Frimpong Gives First Interview as a Liverpool Player: “It’s a Dream Come True”
Jeremie Frimpong has spoken for the first time as a Liverpool player after completing his move to Anfield, expressing his excitement and ambition ahead of the new chapter in his career.
In his first official interview with the club, the Dutch international described the transfer as a “dream come true” and revealed his eagerness to get started under new head coach Arne Slot.
“As a kid, I always watched the Premier League and Liverpool was one of the clubs I dreamed of playing for,” Frimpong said. “To now call this place home is a special feeling.”
Frimpong, known for his explosive pace and attacking runs from right-back, joins Liverpool after an impressive stint at Bayer Leverkusen, where he played a key role in their Bundesliga-winning season. His arrival is expected to add dynamism and depth to Liverpool’s backline.
“I’ve spoken with the coach and I’m really excited about the project here. I want to bring energy, passion, and help the team win trophies,” he added.
The 23-year-old also addressed the supporters, saying: “To the fans – I can’t wait to play in front of you at Anfield. I’ll give everything every time I wear the shirt.”
