Israel’s national emergency medical service, Magen David Adom (MDA), confirmed on Monday that five people were killed and 92 others wounded following a wave of Iranian missile strikes on central Israel. The latest casualty figures raise the initial death toll from four to five, highlighting the growing toll of the escalating conflict.

According to the MDA statement, the deadly strikes hit four different sites across central Israel. Among the fatalities were “two women and two men, all around 70 years old,” in addition to a fifth unidentified victim.

Emergency response teams quickly mobilized, evacuating 92 injured individuals to nearby hospitals. Of the wounded, one 30-year-old woman was reported in serious condition with facial injuries. Six others were listed as being in moderate condition, while the remaining 85 sustained mild injuries.

In response to the attacks, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant issued a stern warning, declaring that Iranian civilians would “pay the price” for any further aggression targeting Israeli citizens. The minister’s comments underscore the heightened tension and the potential for further escalation between the two regional adversaries.
