The Authorities of Veracruz a Mexican State has been investigating the death of an Honduran video Journalist who was shot dead, was said to have stayed in Mexico as a refugee.
The Journalist who is identified as Edwin Rivera Paz, was shot dead on Sunday in Acayucan, by an unknown gunmen, whose body was later recognized by one of his relatives around.
Raul Otoniel Morazan, an Honduran ambassador in Veracruz, called out the press and security agents to get to the root of the assassination. The Honduran embassy in Mexico also delayed response on the matter concerning the death.
Marta Sanchez Solar, said Rivera fled Honduras after his colleague Igor Padilla was killed. Padilla was killed by 4 armed men in an Honduran city San Pedro Sula in January. Then he was a crime reporter, while Rivera was his cameraman.
However, there’s no clear information on how long Rivera has been in Acayucan. These city has been in turbulence for years, therefore not a safe place to seek refuge according to a Catholic priest.
