Multiple reports have said former governor of Akwa Ibom state and incumbent senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East district Godswill Akpabio has lost his re-election bid.
TheCable reports that Akpabio, who contested under APC, lost to Chris Ekpenyong of PDP.
TheNation reports that Akpabio secured 67, 487 as against 136, 373 votes for Ekpenyong.
