Are you a young eco-entrepreneur or green innovator in West Africa? Here’s your chance to scale your impact and grow your vision. The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) has officially launched its 2025 Support Program to empower 50 young leaders working on environmental and sustainable development projects across the region.
This initiative is part of two strategic OIF programs:
- Project 15: Francophone Innovations and Advocacy
- Project 18: Supporting Structural Transformations in Environment and Climate
Selected participants will receive technical and financial support, personalized guidance, and access to an intensive training session taking place later this year in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Program Objectives
The program is designed to help selected eco-entrepreneurs:
- Implement and scale their environmental projects
- Create green jobs and generate sustainable income
- Address key regional challenges in areas such as:
- Sustainable agriculture
- Waste management
- Renewable energy
- Circular economy
What You’ll Gain

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be aged 21–35
- Reside in a West African country
- Lead an active business or innovative project in environment, green economy, or sustainable development
- Show a clear understanding of regional environmental challenges
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance of their project to local environmental needs
- Potential for economic, environmental, and social impact
- Technical and financial feasibility within the West African market
- Capacity to create green jobs and income
- Innovation and scalability across the region
Selection Process
- Application review and pre-selection
- Online interview with an evaluation committee
- Final selection of 50 participants
- Intensive training and mentorship
- Ongoing support for project scaling and financing
What You Need to Apply
Your application should include:
- Personal and professional background
- Detailed project description (objectives, context, and expected outcomes)
- A 12-month development plan
- Letters of support from local partners (optional)
