Former Gov. Kano State, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso |
Ex Governor, Kano State, Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso, has cross carpeted from the Ruling All Progressives Congress to the People gDemocratic Party(PDP).
As indicated by Vanguard, the previous presidential aspirant left the political party alongside 10 Kano legislators on Tuesday.
This comes one year after the APC administration in Kano State started moves to suspend Kwankwaso over what it called hostile to Party exercises.
The APC Executive in Kano, Haruna Doguwa, had said Kwankwaso purportedly shown activities equipped for bargaining the party’s solidarity.
Prior on Monday, a chieftain of the PDP in Kano, Alhaji Musa Iliyasu, said Kwankwaso was set to come back to the party.
Iliyasu added that solid sources affirmed to him that Kwankwaso had been reaching the national body of the PDP about his arrival to the gathering.
“I got notification from solid sources that the previous representative is wanting to dump APC for another gathering before the 2019 general decisions and in all likelihood he is returning to PDP,” he had revealed to Day by day Trust.
Be that as it may, in his response, the APC state administrator, Alhaji Umar Haruna Doguwa had revoked the proposal.
“It is not valid. Kwankwaso has no arrangement to dump APC.
“It is quite recently unimportant theories by a few government officials that are jealous of his political advance.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former education minister, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, “Similar thing was said of them too” he said.
