The Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities, ASUU, has officially announced to call off its pending strike action on Monday evening. 18, September 2017.
According to reports, the Academic boy ASUU is suspending this strike action with grace till the end of October for the government to compromise with their request.
The suspension of the strike was announced after a meeting with the government delegation on Monday evening.
At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed with the federal government delegation led by the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.
Consequently, the leadership of the union has called on lecturers to resume duty as from tomorrow Tuesday 19, September 2017.
