The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that President Bola Tinubu will personally commission various development projects in the satellite towns of the FCT.
Wike made this known while addressing journalists, emphasizing the importance the administration places on inclusive development beyond the city center. According to him, the president’s direct involvement in commissioning these projects highlights his commitment to improving infrastructure and living standards in all parts of the capital territory.
The projects, which include roads, healthcare facilities, schools, and other public infrastructure, are part of a broader effort to extend meaningful development to satellite towns that have long been neglected. Wike stated that the commissioning will begin once the projects are completed and ready for public use.
This move is seen as a strategic step in reinforcing the administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, ensuring that development reaches all residents of the FCT — not just those in the central districts.
