In a bold move aimed at tackling youth unemployment and economic hardship, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially approved a ₦75,000 monthly allowance for eligible Nigerian youths under the new National Youth Empowerment Programme (NYEP).
The initiative, launched under the Ministry of Youth and Economic Development, is expected to benefit over 3 million young Nigerians between the ages of 18 to 30 starting this July.

Speaking during a national broadcast today, Tinubu stated:
“Our youth are the backbone of Nigeria’s future. This allowance is not just relief—it is a foundation for empowerment, education, and enterprise.”
The program is part of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on job creation, skills acquisition, and digital innovation.
📝 Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for the ₦75,000 monthly support, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens aged 18–30 years
- Have a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- Possess at least an SSCE or equivalent qualification
- Not be currently employed in any government job or NYSC
- Register under a recognized vocational or digital skills program

- Create an Account with your NIN, email, and phone number.
- Upload Required Documents: ID, certificate, recent passport photo.
- Select Your Area of Interest: Tech, Fashion, Agriculture, Mechanics, etc.
- Submit and Await Confirmation
